It's a chance to share news: a post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books,
and share what's coming up on your blog in the week ahead.
THE WEEK IN REVIEW
At the office, all three Board members were out of the office on Thursday and Friday so I was the only one in the executive suite. Nice and quiet! :) That doesn't happen often but it certainly made for an easy week.
I mentioned last week that I received both my Covid and flu vaccines and that the Covid vaccine was no longer free. To clarify that, now that the vaccines are on the commercial market (and not provided by the government) there could be a cost involved. But there are still options for free vaccines. People with limited or no insurance will still have access to the vaccines for free through a CDC initiative called the Bridge Access Program. The program is designed to provide vaccines through local health care providers and select pharmacies. So a simple phone call to a pharmacy or provider will let you know if it's available at no cost. Otherwise, health insurance covers the cost. Here's an article if you want more info. Since I mentioned last week that the vaccine was no longer free, I wanted to explain that better.
A home in my city just went on the market and is one of the largest single-family homes in the area. 18,000 square feet, 10 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms (plus 5 half-baths), six-car garage... needless to say, this is not in my neighborhood. LOL The exterior photo is stunning and there's also a video showing the interior. Anyone have several million to spare? 😄
Ready for a blast from the past? Those of you of a certain age (meaning over 50 like me lol) will remember a certain 70's heart throb by the name of Shaun Cassidy. Well, my older sister and I got tickets to see him next month. It's sad how excited we are. Haha!
Naturally, this week's throwback song has to be one by Shaun Cassidy. 😉 This is Hey Deanie from 1977. Enjoy!

WHAT I READ
CURRENTLY READING
Kindle: Lotus by Jennifer Hartmann
Audio: Grayson's Vow by Mia Sheridan
NEW ADDITIONS
Not a thing.
That's a nice part of town, but seriously, who needs that many bathrooms? OMG, Shaun Cassidy. I remember when he and David were all the rage. Looks like you are deep diving on Mia Sheridan. I have only read one book, but I own several. Really need to catch up there.
ReplyDeleteRight? My first thought was "who wants to clean 10 bathrooms?" But it quickly clicked that if you have a house like that you're not cleaning it yourself. lol The Mia Sheridan deep dive was accidental but a happy one. :)
DeleteI wll never understand why people need so many bathrooms. We were looking for a house and the bedrooms were less than the bathrooms. It was frustrating however that is a very nice house!.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great weekend Tanya! Happy Reading!
Oh yeah, I remember Shaun Cassidy! I probably have one of his records too! I enjoy looking at houses like that in Branson where we dream of a really big vacation home that all my family could stay in, lol. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteShaun Cassidy! I remember him and Parker Stevenson on the Hardy Boys. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
18,000 sq. ft.?? My goodness, that is enormous!
ReplyDeleteToo bad I don't have several millions to spare Tanya because that home is superb!
ReplyDeleteThat house is insane!! Holy moly! Have fun seeing Shaun Cassidy!
ReplyDeleteOh wow- that looks like my place. Not quite as nice, but you know... not everyone can have it all. lol
ReplyDeleteFeathered. hair. Ha ha!!!! Love it. 70's music yes but wait he's TOURING? I bet that'll be awesome :)
That mansion is beautiful, but all I can think when I look at the photo is how flood-prone it is. It looks like it's barely above sea level. Now, if it were in the mountains (and if I won the lottery lol), I'd be tempted!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time at the Shaun Cassidy concert! I wasn't into his music so much, but I did enjoy him in The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries! (Though I liked Parker Stevenson better, in that show and in the short-lived Probe.)
I actually love being at the office alone. I have a feeling that I will have quite a bit of alone time this week since the owner will be at a conference. I love looking at houses but I always wonder who really would need a house that large. I hope that you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little too young for that Cassidy song, but how fun for you to go! I can't believe how large that house is!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen you post in a while. I hope you're doing okay!
DeleteHi Deanna - Thanks so much for checking in. I appreciate it. I've been busy with both work and home, but have also been super uninspired when it comes to blogging. Hopefully I'll snap out of it soon and get back to my usual posting/visiting.
DeleteI'm sorry to hear that. Taking a break will hopefully be helpful.

DeleteOmg! I LOVED Shaun Cassidy (53 yrs old here)! Serious, crazy fanatic territory, lol! He used to be in The Hardy Boys on TV with Parker Stevenson. I wonder if they have the show up on anything. I'd love to watch it and see how probably awful it was. Hope you and your sister have fun at the concert.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Covid info. My insurance will pay for it. I think I will get it again after reading an article about some serious effects you can get long term from it. The nightmare that just keeps on giving.
The house is pretty! There's one near us that just went on the market that's a similar size and I swear the theme for building it was "More money than taste". Everything about the house except the land it is on is just horrible! Have a great week and enjoy your reading!
ReplyDeleteI just got my new flu and covid vaccines over the weekend. They didn't say anything about payment so I guess it was either free or else my insurance must have covered the cost. That's so fun that you're going to see Shawn Cassidy!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to go see Shaun Cassidy? That's pretty awesome! I remember watching the Hardy Boys when I was little. :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a house! I'd hate to pay the utility bills. So I used to be such a huge fan of Shaun Cassidy. What a great flashback!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed Sheridan's book. I can't wait to read it! I'm hoping to read Lotus soon, too.
ReplyDeleteMy husband's grandmother passed away at the ripe age of 96. While it is sad, she lived a great long life. We'll be traveling out of state this week for her services.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite the house.. not much of a home vibe though. I wouldn't want to live in a place to big I'd need a search party to locate each child. But it is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe first cover.. with the raindrops is so pretty.
Wow that house is just amazing! May need to save up just a bit longer though, haha! Glad you had a nice and quiet few days at the office, those can be so nice, especially if they don't happen often.
ReplyDeleteBeing in the office alone is the best! I put on an audiobook to keep me company, and I get so much work done without distractions. I love it.
ReplyDeleteIt's great when you can get the office all to yourself.
ReplyDeleteThat house is insane! I would hate to have to clean any of those bathrooms.
hahaha my sister had a poster of Shaun and I used to make fun of her. I was all about that other Hardy Boy, Parker Stevenson. Hope you have a great time!
ReplyDeleteSHAUN!!! Oh how I loved him lol
ReplyDeleteA house just went on the market near me for just under a million and I love it so much. It's not really crazy big but has so many usable features and is just my dream home.

I'm glad to read you had a nice and quiet week. Sometimes we need one of those ;)
ReplyDeleteThat house is absolutely gorgeous! It reminds me of the one that went for sale a few years back in my town and the lead singer of Kiss bought it! Friends have seen him shopping around town but I still haven't been successful at seeing him yet.
ReplyDeleteWoah, that house is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI need to get the newest Covid shot. I did get my flu shot already though.
My mom loved Shaun Cassidy. I'd totally get her tickets to see him if he was near us. hah

Happy Friday Tanya! I haven't "seen" you around and just wanted to make sure you're doing okay. :)
ReplyDeleteRachel - Thanks so much for checking in on me. I appreciate that so much. Things have been busy here. But I have also been uninspired when it comes to blogging. Those two put together have meant some time away. Hopefully I'll manage a post and/or some blog hopping soon! :)
DeleteI completely understand, Tanya! Sometimes life is just too busy and you need some time away! Happing reading and have a wonderful week! :)
