    1. I just recently re-watched Perks. One of the few cases where the movie was as good as the book - if not even better.

  3. Unfortunately Simon and the the Homo Sapiens Agenda was DNF but it was me [it's always me lol] so I want to try it again. The Fault in Our Stars, the movie, undid me so I didn't dare to read the book. Furiously Happy and The Perks of Being a Wallflower are in TBR! the great list Tanya!

    1. No kidding! What is just not working for you? Did you have a specific problem with it? I very, very rarely re-read, but Simon is one of those that I can read and listen to all the time. I actually enjoyed TFIOS movie more than the book.

  6. Some great choices here! I particularly love Sloppy Firsts, such a fun title. Of these I've read Perks and TFIOS, neither of which I was overly thrilled with unfortunately.

    1. For all the hype that both Perks and TFIOS get, I actually preferred the movie over the book in both cases. The books were truly over-hyped.

    1. Oh my goodness, I love Simon so much, Angie! I very rarely reread, but I've reread Simon (book and audio) several times. I'm kinda sad about the movie name change, too. I sure wish they would have kept the original title. :(

    1. The Fault in Our Stars was a good one. I liked both the book AND the movie... which is rare. Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda is one of my all-time favorites - and one of the few books that I reread. :)

  17. Oh these are fun! I love seeing everyone's takes on this topic, there are really some interesting titles out there! I need to read Simon desperately. TFiOS is a great choice too, because what even is that? Debbie Harry Sings in French made me chuckle too, these are great choices!

    1. You totally need to read Simon... like, yesterday. I'll be waiting. :)

After I posted this I had the sudden thought: oh crap, are people younger than me even going to know who Debbie Harry is? LOL

  18. There are definitely some good titles out there these days. I think I prefer the long ones over the one-word titles, especially when there are multiple books with the same one-word title. Of these, the only one currently on my TBR list is John Green's The Fault in Our Stars. I also like the title of his new one, Turtles All The Way Down. Other titles I love (though I haven't read all the books): A Brief History of Time (Stephen Hawking), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (Mark Haddon), Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake (Sarah MacLean -- I read that one), and I Sing the Body Electric! (short story and story collection by Ray Bradbury; I've read that one, too.)

    1. For some reason I'm always a little disappointed when I come across multiple books with the same title. It's like, why would you chose to do that? Don't you want your book to stand out? I always get a chuckle from The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time. :)

  19. I have read The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List and The Fault in Our Stars and enjoyed them all. Furiously Happy is on my TBR.

  20. I'm so sorry I missed your post! I try to hit up as many top 10 as I can but its rather a crap shoot as the names all blur together. *cries* I think Sloppy Firsts is a HILARIOUS title... I can't even believe that went to print... did you enjoy it?! <3

    1. No worries, Dani! :) I love the Sloppy First title, too! And the book was great! The whole series is, really. It's really smart, realistic, thoughtful YA. Not full of silliness or tired tropes. Jessica Darling is a great character.
