WWW Wednesday #29 | October 31, 2018

WWW Wednesdays is a meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.
Just answer three questions and share what you're reading.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?
Steadfast (True North #1) - Sarina Bowen
I'm only on chapter two but I'm so excited to be continuing this series. Jude was a secondary character in the first book and I'm so interested to get his backstory and learn more about him. I already get the feeling that Sophie is dealing with a lot, but that her feelings for Jude are still there. Excited to see how this unfolds!

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?
Evidence of the Affair - Taylor Jenkins Reid
I read Evidence of the Affair over the weekend and it's amazing to me how Taylor Jenkins Reid can pack so much story into so few pages. She's a master at storytelling!

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'LL READ NEXT?

I'm feeling a little burned out on YA but at the same time I *really* want to read Restore Me. I'll probably go ahead and put it on hold at the library and see how I feel when it becomes available. I might also be in the mood for something historical, like Tides of Honour, or maybe a paranormal, like Seven Years. All of which is code for: I have no idea so anything goes! :)

What are you currently reading?
I wanna know! :)

  2. I haven't read anything by Sarina Bowen yet, but several books are on my TBR. Tides of Honour also sounds good. :-)

    1. I just read my first Sarina Bowen book last year and she became an instant favorite. I think I've read 5 by her now. :) I saw another blogger review Tides of Honour and I ordered it that same day!

    1. Yep, sometimes I just start to crave something with people my own age (or at least adults) with lives I can relate to now (not 30 years ago). And some adult content... LOL

    1. I'm enjoying it so much! I didn't want to put it down last night and had to force myself. I'm loving Jude. And Sophie's father is the worst!

  7. I need to read Evidence of the Affair for sure, so I am glad you liked it so much! I also need to read Restore Me. But I might wait, who can tell? Right now, I am reading Stronger, Faster, and More Beautiful. It is quite interesting so far! Hope you enjoy your books!

    1. Evidence of the Affair is so short that it would be a quick way to try Taylor Jenkins Reid. Just saying. :) I can't believe I haven't read Restore Me yet. Gah!

  8. I'm in the mood for a new UF. I have series that I haven't finished yet but I want something... else. I want UF but not something I've read before. A new world. But I don't have a clue what I want so no clue what to look for. *sighs* (I blame moving for unbalancing me!)

What did you settle on in the end?

    1. I wish I had a really great UF series I was into. The last time I read one was a recommendation from someone and I didn’t like it at all. Granted, it could have been because I went the audio route and the narrator was *horrible* but it still wasn’t a stellar read. My favorite UF is The Others series from Anne Bishop. I’d love to find something that I could enjoy as much as that.

Would you believe I didn’t go with any of the three books I had listed? Ha! I just finished Steadfast last night and this morning I decided on a graphic novel called Quiet Girl in a Nosiy World. It is so me. :)

    1. It was a very quick read but still one I was invested in. Reminded me of why I love Taylor Jenkins Reid so much.
