THIS WEEK'S TOPIC:
Spring Cleaning Edition
10 Books Buried in My Kindle That I want to Read

It happens time and time again: There's a new release from a favorite author. A trusted friend recommends a must-read book. I come across a book with a synopsis that speaks to me. And you know what happens next...

Unfortunately, those additions occur faster than I can actually read them. And considering that I got my first Kindle in 2011, well... that's a lot of books. Occasionally I scroll through my Kindle library and some of those covers catch my eye and I'm reminded of how excited I was to read them. So here are some of those buried treasures that I still very much want to read.

One of Amy's earlier releases that I haven't got to yet.
I've read only one book by Cole and hated it. Despite that, I'm still intrigued by this series.
I love Jewell's brand of mystery/thriller but for some reason just haven't made this one happen.
I read The Deal. I loved The Deal. I never continued the series. And no, I don't know why.
Tucker is one of my favorites, but the Burying Water book/series is the one from her that I still haven't read.
This one has been recommended to me so many times.
This has been on my Kindle for years. I just need to be in the mood to have my heart crushed.
Krista & Becca wrote one of my favorite contemporary series ever but I have yet to read this one.
Paranormal romance isn't my usual genre, but the synopsis of this one grabbed me. And yet it remains unread.
Love the cover, love the synopsis, love the other book I've read from Douglas... so when am I finally going to read this one?

Have you read any of these books?

  1. I thought I Found You was pretty good. It wasn't my favorite Lisa Jewell (not that I've read all her stuff, I've kinda fallen behind) but it is good. Hope you enjoy it!

    1. With as much as I enjoy her, I'm surprised I've let it go unread for so long.

    1. It's easy for them to get lost and overlooked, isn't it? :)

    1. Okay, Deanna, challenge accepted! I'm going to add at least one of these to my (rather fluid) TBR each month. Bright Side is officially on deck! (eeek!)

  7. The Law of Moses was so very good! I've been wanting to reread it. And of course, you need to read Brightside!!! Yes, it's sad, but I promise it's so worth it!!

  8. Same here! I put books on my Kindle and then promptly forget about them. I guess I figure that since I own them, I can read them when I get around to it and then ... I never get around to it. LOL. At least we'll never run out of books to read on our Kindles, right?

    Happy TTT!

  9. I love your title today - it's funny how we can have stacks of physical books and not forget about them. But the second they become digital, they cease to exist in our brains! Hahaha.

Good luck getting to these. I've heard great things about TJ Klune!

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks!

  10. OMG READ IT AINT ME BABE. The Hades Hangmen series is so good. Dark and a little uncomfortable at times, but it's one of my guilty pleasures lol

    1. You're totally reigniting my interest in that one, Molly! I read A Thousand Boy Kisses by Cole several years ago and OMG I hated it. LOL It was so saccharine and schmaltzy and so shameless about trying to make the reader cry. I rolled my eyes through the whole book. Several friends who read Tillie's books swore that wasn't her usual style and to give her another try. So I definitely want to try the Hades Hangmen series!

  11. Great list! I've heard so many good things about Wolfsong, and now that I've read and loved The House in the Cerulean Sea I'd really like to read more by TJ Klune.

  12. The Off Campus books are so good. Glad you aren't getting rid of that one. I have the Law of Moses too. We should buddy read that. I don't think I can handle Bright Side. I cried when the author talked about the book

    1. Exactly why I've put off Bright Side all these years. Gah! But I'm promised Deanna that I'm going to make it happen. :) I'd totally be up for buddy reading The Law of Moses, but you know you read about 1000X faster than me. LOL

  15. Gah, the one-freaking-click is always my downfall! It's like, I don't even think about it, my cursor just automatically goes there and my fingers just click! 🙈 I read The Deal last month when I binged the whole Off-Campus series and I enjoyed it but The Deal is still my fave in the series! I'm curious about Penelope Douglas' books... I need to give more of them a try and I've seen this one mentioned a few times, too! Hope you get around to reading these soon and enjoy them 😊

    1. I've only read one by Penelope Douglas (Birthday Girl) but I really liked it. And the cover of Punk 57 alone makes me want to read it. LOL

I've read a few of these books including Burying Water (one of my FAVESSS) and Amour Amour and Punk 57! All are pretty good!

  17. I definitely need to go through my own kindle library. I get an email each day listing all the kindle deals for the day, and I usually can't help myself haha. I think I Found You is waiting on my kindle too!

    1. I hate when that happens. Everyone I know LOVES something and I'm like... meh. It seems to happen to me a lot. LOL I need to learn to just stick with what I want to read instead of being swayed by what others love, even when it doesn't necessarily appeal to me.
