This week's topic is actually Places I Love to Read but I just couldn't see how to turn that into an actual post. I mean, I like to read wherever I can. *shrugs* See what I mean? Not exactly a thrilling post. I like to read at home. I like to read in the car if I arrive somewhere early. Beyond that... ??
So I decided to throw the word "About" at the end of the prompt and share some of my favorite settings.
And for you math whizzes out there, yeah, I know there are only nine. :)

I'll admit that I haven't read many holiday themed books, but I feel like this is the year I'm going to go crazy on them lol. I've really been craving that Christmas feeling!

DeleteI've been reading a lot of small town romances lately, and I love them! It's fun when all the characters are so close and everyone knows everyone else's business.
ReplyDeleteI think what I enjoy about them is the slower, less-hectic way of life.
DeleteOddly enough, I hated living in a small town as a teen, but I love them now and also love reading about them. It's fun reading about places you have been too. I do enjoy discovering new places, but when it's somewhere I have some familiarity with, it's even more fun
ReplyDeleteYears ago I used to read books set in big cities almost exclusively (usually London or NYC). Funny how now I've done a complete turn-around.

Yeah, I don't read anywhere special so it was an odd prompt for me. LOL
DeleteMy favorite places to read about are Paris and Japan. I also love to read about anywhere in the natural world.

DeleteLove your twist to the prompt! I was tossing up on whether to do it or not and my post is scheduled for later but I added some pics to 'liven' it up 😂 LOVE small town settings (I miss Port Snow so much!) and also love books set in England, Ireland and Scotland! 😍

ReplyDeleteI used to be so opposite and only sought out city settings, but I've done a complete turn-around and now much prefer small town settings. Go figure.

I don't think I've ever chosen a book based solely on its setting (that would be weird LOL) but there are settings that I tend to enjoy more than others. For whatever reason they catch my interest more.

ReplyDeleteI like reading about bookstores or libraries too. sometimes I'll grab a cozy for that very reason even though I don't read a lot of those. And yes to England, Ireland or scotland.
Cozies are notorious for bookstore settings, it seems. :)
