WWW Wednesday #116 | August 24, 2022

WWW Wednesdays is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words
Just share your answers to three questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you'll read next?

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

The Family Remains (The Family Upstairs #2) - Lisa Jewell
Hostage to Pleasure (Psy-Changeling #5) - Nalini Singh

Currently listening: The Family Remains is so, so good! I am absolutely captivated and
have to force myself to stop listening. I'm scribbling notes like crazy, coming up with
theories, asking questions... there are sooo many threads that are coming together. The
cast of narrators are making the experience so immersive and I'm loving it!
Current progress: 75%

Currently reading: It's always fun to return to the Psy-Changeling world and I'm happy
to get Dorian's story. It feels like it's taken a long time for Dorian and Ashaya to come
together, and even at this point (65%) I wouldn't say they're officially together. Ashaya
had a lot of secrets and it took forever for them to finally come out. Even so, I'm very
much enjoying it.

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?

Wrangling the Cowboy (Circle B Ranch #3) by Kennedy Fox - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Recently read: My love for Kennedy Fox continues and I'm making my way through
the Circle B Ranch series. Gavin was a wonderful hero and I loved that he gave
Maize a taste of her own medicine.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'LL READ NEXT?

My Fake Fiancé (The Greene Family #8) by Piper Rayne

The latest entry in the Greene Family series just released yesterday and since I pre-ordered
it's already popped up on my Kindle. I'll be diving into it just as soon as I finish Hostage to Pleasure.

    1. Renee - I just finished Hostage to Pleasure and I'm so pleased with how it ended. Dorian deserved that ending. :) I was bingeing the Piper Rayne series until I caught up with it. Now waiting on each book is hard! :)

    1. Deanna - I love the series I've read from Kennedy Fox so far. The Roommate Duets, the Bishop Brothers... both have been big hits for me. Now that the final Circle B Ranch is out, I'm excited to power through the rest of that series as well.

  3. I haven't read anything by Fox. I have to take a look to see if my Hoopla has any audiobooks so I can sample. I admire your ability to listen to a mystery. I feel like I miss too much.

    1. Sam - I loved the audio versions for KFox's Roommates Duets. And the Bishop Brothers series. I was lukewarm on the audio for the Circle B series so I've been reading those on Kindle instead.

  4. I wonder if I need to give Lisa Jewell another try. I read one of her books and thought it was just okay but everyone seems to be loving her work.

    2. Jen - Hopefully I'll find time to review The Family Remains while details are still fresh!

I did read Verity but it's been a while. I remember the basics but details are fuzzy. I do remember debating the ending with my sister. We had different thoughts on that ending!

  8. Nice reading week! I do need to try something by Lisa Jewell one day. I am almost finished with a nonfiction book called The Five, which has been very interesting. I'm also reading Book Lovers.

    1. Suzanne - Henry was so creepy. I started to think maybe he had come around and would be okay but that epilogue dashed those hopes. I swear, I think he is a sociopath.
