How is it December?! Did November pass in a flash or what? Now it's full speed ahead until Christmas. 😬
I decided to do just one Christmas tree this year (instead of two) and went with the pink one. Because not much makes me happier than my pink Christmas tree. 😍 We got the tree up yesterday and I'll start decorating today. I even have a couple gifts that I can wrap and put under it. Go me!
Chick-fil-A released their holiday short film and it is the sweetest ever. It's about 7 minutes long but is so worth watching. You can see it here.
I'm fully embracing the holiday music now that it's December. I love this version of Winter Wonderland (1987) from Annie Lennox/Eurythmics. Her voice is so gorgeous.

HOW WAS YOUR WEEK?
I'D LOVE TO HEAR ABOUT IT!
Our tree just went up today. I was feeling like the Scrooge on the block lol as everyone around us is all lit up and had their trees up. The cats as usual had a field day with all the boxes coming out.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I've never heard that version by Lennox!
Greg - Haha! You were peer-pressured into putting your tree up. I love it! LOL
DeleteI love this version of Winter Wonderland by the Eurythmics!
ReplyDeleteI've been listening to Christmas music since a little before Thanksgiving. A local radio station switches over to Christmas music and the fourteen year requests we tune in the moment they switch over. He's lucky I love him! LOL
Alicia - Aw, I love that your teenager wants to listen to all the Christmas music! That's so sweet. :)
DeleteGo get your happy on with your pink Christmas tree. Please post a photo when it is done. I think I am one of few who really only likes classic holiday songs. We were out the other night (pizza night) and holiday music was playing. I was excited because they were all oldies. Brenda Lee, Bing Crosby, Andy Williams -- I am an old soul.
ReplyDeleteI will set up my tree this evening! Not a pink one though but still... Have a great week Tanya!
ReplyDeleteOoh, a pink Christmas tree. I bet it's awesome. All my trees are green and currently in boxes because I haven't had time to put them up. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that you did a pink christmas tree!! I went basic with the classic colors of gold and white and a dash of red. I hope you are enjoying that Mimi Matthews, I have thought about trying out her books, I do like that her covers are more detailed in the illustrations.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed listening to Winter Wonderland, it's been a while since I've heard it and I love it. A pink Christmas tree sounds amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteI miss having a tree up! But, with the puppy, we decided we didn't want to deal with a tree this year. So sad! I'm ready for some Christmas music too!
ReplyDeleteLast year I had a white tree with blue and pink decorations! Loved it!!! You must show us!
ReplyDeleteLove your December/Christmas wish graphic. Think it's very fitting.
Have a wonderful week ahead and enjoy the Christmas spirit that is popping up everywhere!

I'm so glad you are enjoying your holiday music and decorations. We probably won't do anything until after my daughter's finals this week.

I thought about buying a pink or orange Christmas tree this year when a picture popped up in my Facebook memories, but the store that had them a couple years ago didn't have them this year. So I went with my little white one with the peacock decoration theme. :-) I used to have a playlist in my itunes that I made on my phone with just Christmas music, but when I synced my iphone with my newer laptop recently, all my playlists disappeared. Oh well. Hope you have a good week!

I can't believe it's December already either! We just put up our tree last night. It is not pink.
ReplyDeletePink. How cute! My step-grandmother used to have a purple tree while she was still living. We always do a real tree. Definitely love Annie Lennox's voice!
ReplyDeleteLOL I've been listening to Christmas music since before Thanksgiving! We're thinking we really should get a tree this year, for Henry, and a pink one sounds so fun!
ReplyDeleteHope to see your pink Christmas tree up! Sounds delightful! I can't believe were already at the end of the year. It's gone by so quick. Hope you're enjoying The Belle of Belgrave Square.
ReplyDeleteRachel - I'll try to remember to share a photo in this week's Sunday Post. It's funny how happy that pink tree makes me. :)
DeleteI loved The Belle of Belgrave Square! So much that I had to buy my own copy!
I really can't believe we're a week into December already. Feels like we just finished up the last of the Halloween candy, lol. That Annie Lennox version of Winter Wonderland is one of my favorite holiday tunes. Her voice is so unique!
ReplyDeleteSuzanne - Right?! It's like, how is it December? And two and a half weeks to Christmas? Ack!
DeleteWe had such a late fall and then it pretty much skipped to winter. We've even already had snow twice and it usually doesn't snow until February.
ReplyDeleteKaren - Wow, y'all practically skipped fall and went straight to winter this year!
DeleteYou have a pink tree?! How awesome is that! I don't know if I will get one up this year. We actually have our first Christmas gathering in just a few days. Where did this year go?
ReplyDeleteCarole - I love my pink tree! And I know what you mean. This morning I realized Christmas is 18 days away and suddenly felt very overwhelmed.
DeleteThis is the time of year that always goes by waaaaay too quickly for me. I am trying to be more mindful but that's hard to do. I love your "I Hope this December" image. I might have to steal it! I had a really good reading month in November. My favorite book was our book-club read - "The Placeholder" by Lynda Wolters and we all LOVED IT. I do want to preface this by saying it's a great book for non-romance and romance fans alike. The main character, Sera, loses everything in a nasty divorce with her ex who ends up with a younger, more fertile option. She finds herself in her 40s, in a motel, swiping on dating apps. Luckily, she has a wonderful friend (and boss) Carolyn who helps her on her journey and encourages her to find a "placeholder" to have fun with while she looks for Mr. Right. Zac is a gorgeous, ex-marine, booty call that is definitely a fun distraction until she starts falling for him. I know this seems like it could almost be a "romantic comedy" but.... there are some serious twists and turns that I did not see coming. I also love the friendship between Carolyn and Sera. It's genuine and snarky and they do end up going through a lot together.... I feel like this is a deep piece of contemporary women's fiction in disguise as a romance read. Does that make sense? I don't want to give too much away but this is a fantastic book and a great gift for any woman.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays
Oooh that pink tree sounds great. I have the tree and decorations up; need to actually start wrapping things! My cat likes to sleep under the tree sometimes though, which is adorable. I've been sick for like two weeks now though so I've missed some fun things and haven't been able to read much. I am ready to feel better!
