Top Ten Tuesday: New-To-Me Authors I Read in 2016

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme
This week's theme is Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read for the First Time in 2016. My first thought was I'm not even going to have ten. Surprisingly I had about 16! I think there are a couple debut authors but hey, it still counts. :) So here are my ten favorite new-to-me authors that I read in 2016.

Becky Albertalli
Molly McAdams
Taylor Jenkins Reid
Evelyn Skye
Jay Crownover
Renee Carlino
Amber Smith
Sarina Bowen
Lauren Layne
Samatha Harris

Have you read any of these?
What new-to-you-author did you discover this year?

  1. I'm so happy you read Lauren Layne! She's one of my fave authors ever!! I think I read TJR books this year too and fell hard for her writing.

    1. Apparently Simon is being made into a movie and yesterday I saw some tweets announcing that the lead has been cast. I took a look and was like, "Uh, that's not Simon!" Funny how you get a mental picture that can be so different from someone else's. Even though I almost never reread, I will read Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda again and again. I just adore it/him. :)

  4. I don't think I have read books by any of these authors! But " One True Loves" has been on my TBR list for a while, and is definitely a top read for me in 2017. My favorite new to me author this year, was also a debut author - Steven Rowley. His novel, Lily & The Octopus, was one of my favorite books of the year.

    1. I've had at least 3 books by Renee Carlino sitting on my shelves for ages and just never got to them. It was the ARC of Swear on This Life that was finally my first read by her. Loved it! Yeah there were a few issues but I was so invested in the characters and the story that I was willing to let almost anything slide. LOL I just finished another one by Carlino and it won't be my last.
