Top Ten Tuesday: Fall TBR Edition

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week's Top Ten Tuesday topic:
Top Ten Books on My Fall* TBR
If you know me at all you know that I don't make TBR lists.
And why don't I make TBR lists?
Because I don't stick to them.
And why don't I stick to them?
Because I'm a total mood reader and never know what I'll want to read from one book to the next.

But that doesn't mean I don't have books I want to get to sooner rather than later. Or a mental kinda-sorta TBR. You get the idea. So here's my Fall non-TBR.

*We are using the term Fall in the loosest sense of the word. This is Florida. We don't have Fall. It's currently 93 degrees and feels like 102. So yeah... Fall.

Have you read any of these books?
What's at the top of your Fall TBR?

    1. I can’t believe I haven’t read Keep Her Safe yet. I usually jump right on Tucker’s releases.

  2. I don’t stick to TBRs either! I’m pretty sure I failed at every TBR I made this year. If you read these, I hope you like them! I loved Gentleman’s Guide, and I’m going to read The Great Alone if I ever finish the book I’m reading now.

Aj @ Read All The Things!

    1. Every comment that tells me how much they enjoyed Gentleman’s guide gets me more excited for it. :)

I see these readers who make monthly TBR’s and read exactly off that TBR and I’m like - who are you?! LOL

  3. This is a great list! The Gentleman's Guide is so much fun and I also loved The Great Alone. Keep Her Safe and I Found You are two that I would love to get to at some point.

    1. I’m so happy to hear that, Tracy! Makes me even more excited to dive right in to it. I have the hardcover but it would be so clunky to carry around. Instead I’m waiting for my Overdrive hold to be ready.

  6. Yes, you must read Gentleman's Guide. Lady's Guide is on my Fall TBR, as is What If It's Us. :)

  7. My TBR is kinda the same. More of a "guidelines" rather than "rules". :) One Day in december looks really cute, and I enjoyed I Found You. I've become a bit of a Lisa Jewell fan since reading several of her books. I hope all these are good for you!

    1. I’ve kind of “rediscovered” Lisa Jewell in the last year or so. Back 10-15 years ago, when she was writing more chick lit/women’s fiction, I read everything she wrote. Now that she’s made a shift to more thriller-type novels I’m on board for that, too!

  8. The Darkest Star cover looks amazing. Keep her Safe, now that looks like something I could stick my nose in. You'll have to let me know how it is.

    1. I’m still amazed that I haven’t read Keep Her Safe yet. K.A. Tucker is a favorite and I usually read her books as soon as they’re released. Hopefully this one will be another hit!

  9. One Day In December is so good! - Or at least I think so, haha. Really a unique story since it's set over multiple years instead of the usual short period of time. :) Hope you enjoy it!

Also really enjoyed Leah on the Offbeat, especially because I could identify with her so well, being overweight and bisexual myself. :)

    Happy reading to you!

Here's my TTT should you be interested. :)

    1. I’ve got my fingers crossed for One Day in December. It seems like one I’ll love.

I’m so glad you said that about Leah on the Offbeat. Lately I’ve read several kind of meh reviews and they’ve had me feeling a little iffy about it.

  11. I also want to read The Gentleman's Guide To Vice And Virtue and the Darkest Start this fall. But.. we already know that there is a big gap between what I want to read and what I actually get to LOL
Hope you do read all these wonderful books and love them T.A.N.Y.A!

Hahahaha It just dawned on me I called you "Tammy" on my other comment??? OMG sorry I was on the phone with my actual RL friend "Tammy" right before I visited your blog! SMH. Now off to go back to that post to explain :) LOL

    1. LOL No worries! My older sister is Tammy so as a kid I got called Tammy All. The. Time. when my parents were sputtering over our names (there are three of us girls all with "T" names).

I actually just started The Gentleman's Guide last night. I'm still in the first chapter so I have no real opinion yet, but Monty is already making me laugh. :)

  12. I don't make TBR lists either cuz I'm also a mood reader, but I also always have books I want to get to soonish. Then I never end up getting to them, and I just keep saying I want to read them for years lol. I hope you enjoy whichever books you do get to!

    1. Uh yeah, sounds like you're talking about me. LOL I have my mental list of what I want to read, books I'm even pretty sure I;ll love, and then I never get to them, and they sit on my shelves giving me the sad face. Oh, the guilt!

  13. Fall in Texas is practically the same. It's usually November/December before it gets cooler and even then it's like lower 70s. BUT for Texans, lower 70s may as well be in the 30s lol. I'm not huge on making TBR lists either. It seems the moment I do, I never want to read those books again lol (okay, i'm slightly exaggerating haha). Good luck with reading these books in the future. You got this!
