WWW Wednesday #25 | September 26, 2018

WWW Wednesdays is a meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.
Just answer three questions and share what you're reading.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?
The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue - Mackenzi Lee
I just started this one - as in I'm page 8 or so - but already Monty is making me laugh. Humble and modest he is not. :)

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?
What If It's Us - Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera
Sweet, funny, adorable, real.
Yeah, so maybe I wanted a little more from the ending, but it was still a totally enjoyable read and I was loving Arthur and Ben so hard.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'LL READ NEXT?
After two YA novels in a row I'll be ready for something different so One Day in December might be calling to me.

What are you currently reading?
I wanna know! :)

    1. It’s been slow going because of the move (not a lot of reading time) but I’m about 65% in and enjoying it *so much*! Monty is a fantastic character and I just want to keep on reading about him!

    1. I’m interested to see how things go with Felicity in this one. Right now she seems to be such a rigid - and rather disagreeable - girl. I mean, she’s super smart and practical... but not exactly a pleasure to be around. LOL

  9. I've been putting off reading What if It's Us lol I've heard about the less than solid ending so I guess that I know this in advance - I should be ok. maybe...

The Gentleman's Guide was long but fun!

    1. Gentleman’s Guide *is* long but also a lot of fun.

I hope you’ll love What If It’s Us! The ending wasn’t a bad one... just a bit open... and I fell in love with those two guys.

    1. Gentleman’s Guide is totally fun, Brandee! It’s got a little bit of everything (history, adventure, humor, a bit of romance) and Monty is such a great main character. So, so funny.

  12. I pretty much agree about What If It's Us. Cute for sure but didn't totally wow me. I need to read Gentleman's Guide too! One of these days soon I hope. I just started Vicious, since that is what Bookish Games is going to be this time around so... might as well! Hope you continue to enjoy GG!

  15. Did you get The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue as an ARC? I've been really thinking about reading this book, I hope it's good!

    1. Nope, not an ARC. I bought the hardcover last year and it’s been sitting on my shelf all this time. Now that I’m enjoying it so much I’m kicking myself for waiting so long! :)

  17. I see your getting into your seasonal stash, too! I always save my mystery/suspense books for fall, and then bust out the winter books for the end of the year! It's the perfect time to really enjoy them. Winter books mean hot chocolate, blankets, and snuggles.

    1. Oh how I wish for hot chocolate and blankets! It’s still hitting the 90’s here. *sigh* Maybe in November... LOL They keep lamenting the heat in Gentleman’s Guide and I’m thinking, “Yep, I feel ya.” :)
