The Sunday Post #152

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news - a post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is
coming up on your blog in the week ahead. You can find the info here:

  • As you're reading this it's likely I'm already poolside with a book in one hand and a fruity drink in the other. *puts down drink and waves* (You didn't think I was going to put down the book, did you?)
  • I'm still having issues commenting on Blogger blogs with my iPad or iPhone so I'm terribly behind in commenting. Not sure how much catching up I'll be able to do this week since that's all I've have with me (phone and iPad). I'll visit and comment as I can, though.
  • While we're away we'll also be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. Quite the milestone! We've been together for more than half my life and he's better than any book boyfriend could ever hope to be.
Since I'm away for the week it seems only fitting that I share this one from the 80's. :)

WHAT I READ IN THE LAST WEEK:
WHAT I'M CURRENTLY READING:

I'm enjoying this one even more than I expected to! And the audio version is so, so good. (And Gavin Pope is book boyfriend goals!)

PHYSICAL BOOKS:

I read the Kindle version last December but when I saw that Colleen was offering the book in paperback on her website I had to grab one. And - bonus! - she personalized it for me. :)

eARCS FOR REVIEW:

How was your week? Any new books? Any news to share?
I'd love to hear about it!

  4. Now I'm jealous of you, I wish I was by a pool with a book and a drink. Hope you enjoy yourself. I'm glad you're enjoying Intercepted, the book almost lost me in the middle and then it got really good and I was hooked by the end. I really want to read Fumbled but it's still really expensive here so I'm waiting for the price to drop a touch.

  5. Happy anniversary! Hope you guys are having a great time! :) And yes- that feeling when leaving work for a vaca is the BEST! :)

I have a hard time doing any blogging, let alone commenting, on my tablet or iPhone, so I can totally relate! I'd be lost without my desktop or laptop...

  6. Sound divine, Tanya! Happy anniversary. I'm not by the pool and I don't have a glass of something fruity in my hand while reading but I do have a nice cup of tea while I'm sat on the comfy sofa lol!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday. x

  9. Happy Anniversary! I'm a little jealous that you are pool side with a drink in hand. I'm at home with a Dr. Pepper lol. I am challenging myself to read the Ivy Year series next month. I am the worst at replying to comments or even commenting for that matter so I understand being behind. I need to get better at that.

If you haven’t already, trying clearing your cache on your iPad (in settings > Safari) it worked for me.

    Have a great reading week

    1. I find that it only works for a few comments and then I have to clear the cache again. Annoying but it does work. 😏

  20. Yay for twenty years! That's amazing! We had our fifth last year. We're not too far behind, haha. The closest thing to a pool I've seen so far this summer, is a turtle (typically used for sand) filled with water. The kids splash around while I mow the lawn and trim the hedges. I want to soak in a plastic turtle! ;)
