Book Outlet Book Haul

Contrary to what The Husband might think (*cough*), I don't buy that many books. No, really, I don't. Quit laughing! :) I one-click a Kindle book now and then, and I'm even kind of cheap when I do that. (I'll rarely go over $2.99 for a Kindle... I have my limits.) And I'll buy physical copies when it comes to my small handful of favorite authors - or when I'm dying to read a new release that I'm sure I'll love (I'm looking at you, Red, White & Royal Blue). So book hauls aren't really a thing for me.

But a couple weeks ago I was casually perusing Book Outlet - something I hadn't done in probably a year - and what do you know? All the things! I want that book! And that one! And there's another one!

And, before you could say #NoRegrets, I had 18 books in my cart. So that happened.

And because we all enjoy enabling each other sharing (sorrynotsorry), here are all my new pretties. For those interested, I'll include the Book Outlet price (at the time I ordered) in case you're tempted to nab one (or 18) for yourself. (nudge-nudge)

More Than We Can Tell - Brigid Kemmerer ($5.99)
Rev is one of my favorite fictional characters ever. I love adding the hardcover version of his story to my shelf.

9 Days & 9 Nights - Katie Cotugno ($4.89)
After loving Cotugno's 99 Days, I cannot believe I haven't read this yet. So coming across this one was a real score.

Emmy & Oliver - Robin Benway ($5.99)
Until Far From the Tree came out, this was my favorite by Benway. I adore these two main characters.

After the Game and Losing the Field - Abbi Glines ($6.49 each)
I read After the Game but only had the uncorrected e-arc and I haven't read Losing the Field yet, so I was excited to grab both of these.

The Impossibility of Us and Kissing Max Holden - Katy Upperman ($4.89 and $3.89)
I read both of these as e-arcs and love having physical copies for my shelf. Katy is a fantastic new voice in contemporary YA.

The Way I Used to Be - Amber Smith ($3.89)
I initially listened to this on audio several years ago and it was unforgettable. I'd like to do a re-read with a physical copy.

Riot - Tillie Cole ($4.89)
My first experience with Tillie Cole was an epic fail but I'm willing to give her another try. (Especially at this price.)

Riveted and Salvaged - Jay Crownover ($4.89 each)
Having just recently listened to both of these on audio (and loving them) I jumped at the chance to nab copies at such a great price.

Sin & Suffer - Pepper Winters ($4.39)
I'm still fairly new to Pepper Winters, but I know I want to read more from her.

Most of All You - Mia Sheridan ($4.39)
I adore Mia Sheridan and this one was already on my TBR.

I Found You - Lisa Jewell ($7.59)
Ditto with Lisa Jewell. I've been dying to read this one.

Ride Hard, Ride Rough and Ride Wild - Laura Kaye ($2.79 each)
I just recently read my first by Laura Kaye. Grabbing the first three books in a series for less than $3 a book? Can't pass that up.

The Break - Marian Keyes ($3.29)
It's been a long time since I read anything from Marian Keyes but I've always enjoyed her storytelling.

So there you have it... my epic Book Outlet book haul. Because I so obviously needed more to read. (*looks away quickly*)

Have you read any of these books?
Do you ever order from Book Outlet?

  1. I don't buy a lot of books outside of one-clicking (same 3 dollar limit) and I usually only do Bookoutlet for their end of the year sale. It looks like you got a nice haul and a nice deal!

    1. Nice to know I'm not the only cheapskate when it comes to one-clicking those Kindle books. LOL

  3. I love getting a physical copy of my favorites for my shelf, too! They have some really good prices! Maybe I'll check the site out for a few of my favs that I don't have.

Btw, I love the wood in the background! Is that flooring or a table? I have a dining table that's that sort of rough wood and I paired it with fancy chairs. Love the rustic and fancy combo. :)

    1. Uh, actually it's neither a table nor flooring. It's a roll of backdrop paper that I bought from Amazon. LOL It came with 4 different rolls with varying wood designs. Quick and easy way to get some nice backgrounds. :)

Your table and chairs sound gorgeous!!

  4. Don't feel bad, I ordered 16 books and they all came the same damn day and a day where I couldn't intercept UPS and Matt grabbed him. I had to lie and say they were review books. LOL. I think he's knows I'm fibbing. And now my Amazon cart has a box set I want, and Book Outlet cart is full. I'm out of control!

    1. OMG I'm howling that you passed them off as review books to your husband. That's priceless. :) I'm a firm believer in there is no such thing as too many books!

  5. YAAS! I love Book outlet. I think they are originally a Canadian company, but they have a warehouse in NY now. When I was in Canada we saw the actual store...and my partner asked, "should we go in there?" but I said to him, "i think that's a BAAADDD idea." LOL.

  6. I have read 9 of these. 9 Days and Emmy & Oliver were solid 5-star reads for me. The others were good too (4 stars). I hope you enjoy each and every one of them. Eighteen books! That's crazy, though.

    1. Yeah, 18 books is extreme. Believe me, I know. LOL I don't think I've *ever* bought so many at one time. But I must have hit Book Outlet at the perfect time because they had so many books I was interested in!

  7. I've only ordered from Amazon (& TBD for blog giveaway winners). I don't buy many books either other than good Kindle deals but as my physical TBR stash dwindles down and now that I live near so many indie bookstores I'll probably start.

    1. I typically only order from Amazon when I want a physical copy. But for some reason when I checked Book Outlet this time it was like they had all the books I wanted. LOL I was helpless to resist. :) Still so jealous of all your indie stores!

  8. Book Outlet is the ultimate danger zone for me. And they really get me with the free shipping at $35. You can actually get a lot from BO for $35!! So, I always end up with a million books whenever I buy from them. :-)

  9. Nice haul! I try to stay away from Book Outlet and Thriftbooks (have you tried Thriftbooks??), because I know I won't leave their websites until I've spent at least $50. It's too hard to restrain myself. I keep a wish list on Goodreads, so occasionally I'll check to see if any of those books are on there, but then I end up with more than what was on the list, haha.

Recently, on Book Outlet, I got The Lunar Chronicles series for $35. It was the boxed set with all the hardcovers. <3 I listened to the entire series on audio (love Rebecca Soler) and absolutely loved them. I also bought The Demon Lover by Juliet Dark (and the other two books in the trilogy) from Thriftbooks not too long ago. Have you read that series?

You got a steal on the Lunar Chronicles set!
I've never heard of Juliet Dark. I'm about to go check her out on GoodReads, though. :)
