WWW Wednesdays is a meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.
Just answer three questions and share what you're reading.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

Mrs. Everything - Jennifer Weiner
I'm still getting into this ARC for Weiner's latest (I'm at 6%, I think) but I'm already enjoying it. This novel spans decades and decades and follows the lives of two sisters. I'm excited to see where it goes.

While Block Shot doesn't have the same gut-wrenching emotion that Long Shot did, I'm still totally invested. I'm about 85% in and I think I know how things are going to go, but if Long Shot was any indication of Kennedy Ryan's style there could still be plenty of surprises in store.

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?

Storm and Fury (The Harbinger #1) - Jennifer L. Armentrout
Storm and Fury was all kinds of fun from start to finish. It was typical Jennifer Armentrout - and I mean that in a good way. When it comes to YA paranormal/fantasy, JLA has a formula and it works. I loved returning to the world from The Dark Elements trilogy and how JLA expanded on it. She kept me guessing on a few important aspects and getting to revisit some old favorites (Layla, Caymen, ROTH! and Bambi!) was absolutely priceless.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'LL READ NEXT?

I'm not going to rush through Mrs. Everything but I can tell you that just as soon as I turn that last page I am dropping everything and picking up Red, White & Royal Blue! I am crazy-excited for this one!

What are you currently reading?
I wanna know! :)

  3. I just spent a few weeks in London, so I've decided to get some reading done that is inspired by my travels. I'm reading the first Harry Potter book to start things out!

    1. So envious of your time in London, Ethan. It's been almost 10 years since I've been. HP is definitely a perfect pick to start! :)

  4. Gosh, I haven’t read a book by Jennifer Weiner in ages. I am reading good things about the Armentrout book.

    1. I read one or two by Weiner a decade or so ago (Good in Bed, maybe?) and then didn't pick up anything else by her until last year when I read Who Do You Love, which I adored. The synopsis of Mrs. Everything really snagged my attention and I love the fact than it spans so many years.

  6. I know a lot of people were angry about a certain plot point in Block Shot, but Ryan never leaves her ends loose. She gives reasons for things and always lets the characters get to a place of forgiveness or at least, closure. I was ok with it, and overall, enjoyed the book. Banner was fabulous!

    1. I can understand why some people might have a problem with it. And I'll be brief in what I say (no spoilers for anyone) but I was concerned for a while that Zo was going to be characterized as a martyr. But I don't think that's the case. And I so agree about Banner. She is amazing!!

    1. I'm about 30% in to Mrs. Everything and really enjoying it. It's interesting how the time period (currently the 1960's) shapes their lives.
