The Sunday Post #63

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news - a post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is
coming up on your blog in the week ahead. You can find the info here:

  • For those that celebrate, I hope everyone had a fun (and safe) 4th of July.
  • I could totally get used to three day work weeks.😉
  • Loser of the Week: PhotoBucket. Receiving their email that my account was disabled and that I would now have to pay $399 for third-posting hosting was not exactly the highlight of my week. Realizing almost every photo and graphic on the blog was now - poof! - gone, wasn't too much fun, either. Thankfully, I'd been given a heads-up that this might happen by Jen at YA Romantics (thank you, Jen!) so I'd already started the process of transferring photos from PhotoBucket to another site. I've only managed to fix the last dozen or so posts so far, so all previous posts have no graphics. It'll take a while but eventually I'll get it all looking like like it should. *sigh*

  1. Oh gosh, that IS how Sunday's feel. It makes me so sad to think work is back tomorrow. Sigh. Sorry about the Photobucket troubles but that's good you had a heads-up.

    1. Pretty much! I can't imagine they have too many people willing to fork over $400. They're going to lose a whole lot of users.

  3. Oh no I'm so sorry about the Photobucket issues :( I try not to use their site actually, cos it's just so slow and seems very buggy. I don't trust it.

Hope you have a lovely week and enjoy your books!

    1. Oh my gosh, their site is horrible as it is - even for a free site! Slow and buggy, for sure. And now I'm supposed to pay for that? Ha! Nice try, Photobucket. LOL

  5. I had heard about the photo bucket issue. That was my plan once I got near the limit of my WP storage. So, that plan is out now! I can't imagine if it happened once I was already using it!
    Enjoy your new books!

    1. Well, it's buh-bye to Photobucket. LOL I mean, seriously, are that many people actually going to hand over $400? For a site that is super slow and buggy and packed with pop-up ads? Yeah, I don't think so.

  6. Yep on the photobucket issue. Mine isn't too bad, but enough to be a PITA. I have yet to transfer everything but I'm just starting.

    1. It was a pain to do all the transferring but it's nice to be rid of Photobucket.

  7. I'm reading Trust soon and I'm so excited! Sorry Photobucket was a dum-dum and almost $400 bucks??????? Talk about stealing your money, lol. Good to know you've found an alternate site for your photos!

I've been seeing Renee Carlino's new book on GR but I've been skeptical of her work since the reviews for Before We Were Strangers were either a hit or miss.

Enjoy your ARCs and happy reading!

    1. I hope you'll love Trust as much as I did!
I've read two by Carlino so far and absolutely feel in love with her storytelling. One of those was Before We Were Strangers and I really loved it.

  8. Oh, wow. Terrible news from photobucket!

I love the Anne Bishop series. And the audios are so good! That's really the only way to go.

    Have a great week!

    1. Love that Anne Bishop series! It's so not what I typically read and I wasn't sure how I would like it... but I was hooked from the very start. I'm so bummed I've caught up so quickly and now have to wait until next year for the next book.

  9. UGH sorry to hear about the PhotoBucket crap. Yes I could also totally get used to three day work weeks, or in my case a full week because I was on vacation :) Lov Sarah's scribbles! That's exactly how I feel every Sunday LOL
