The Sunday Post #67

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news - a post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is
coming up on your blog in the week ahead. You can find the info here:

  • A truly uneventful week... and I mean that in the best way possible. :)

  • Tonight is the one and only night I watch TV all week. Because Game of Thrones. Last week I was thrilled to finally have Jon Snow and Daenerys in the same place (have been waiting seasons for that) but it didn't go well. And now Daenerys's allies are dropping like flies. Can't wait to see what tonight's episode brings! Any other GoT watchers?

  • I'm reading Wish You Were Here by Renee Carlino and I'm already finding myself reading slower because I don't want it to end (and I'm not even halfway through). I absolutely love this woman's ability to tell and story and pull me right in.

    1. I'm getting very worried about the direction Wish You Were Here might be taking. Gah!

And last night's GoT episode was *so* good! I'm already bummed that this is a short season.

  4. LOL loving the introvert cartoon - that's so me! I had an uneventful week too, and yeah, that's the best isn't it?

I watch GoT too - though I don't watch it until Monday, because I'm subscribed via Amazon - meaning the easiest way to watch it is HBO NOW and I don't know exactly when it loads, but I'm sure it's not until after it airs on TV. But yeah, so excited that Dany and John are finally together and I think that they'll end up being allies, they're already working towards it, right? Very much looking forward to tonight's episode!

    Have a great week :)

    1. I've yet to read After the Rain but have read Swear on this Life and Before we Were Strangers and loved both. I'm getting worried about the direction this one seems to be taking, though.

    1. I've never even picked up the books so I don't have to worry about all the comparisons between book and show. But I've always found the show to be so exciting and so well done.

  10. I have never seen a single episode of GOT. I think I might be the only person on the planet.
Glad you had an uneventful week! Enjoy your books!

    1. I am the odd man out 99% of the time. GoT is the only thing I watch so whenever people are going off about Walking Dead or The Office or whatever I just sit there with a blank look on my face. LOL

  12. Okay, so I'm not a fan of GoT. I usually like that kind of show, but eh. :) Glad you're enjoying your read. I love when that happens.

Hope you have a great week Tanya!

    1. I'm so surprised that I got into it because #1 I otherwise do not watch TV and #2 it's not a genre I am drawn to. But something about it sure pulls me in!

  13. Oops! I had to skip past the GOT stuff because I'm not watching it yet! I'm in the middle of s5 rewatch in preparation for this new season. Maybe by the time I'm done rewatching I'll be able to binge this new season!

Your random pic made me laugh. :)

  14. Wish You Were Here looks interesting! Just checked it out. Hope you continue to enjoy it and have a box of tissues on hand when you finish it!

I LOVE that random!! Probably because it's far too relatable ;) Lol. Thanks for sharing it!

Have a lovely week, Tanya :)

    1. I had to stop reading Wish You Were Here last night because it was getting too emotional. Gah! I'll probably finish it today.

LOL Yeah, I love that random, too, because it's totally relatable. :)

  15. I love uneventful weeks. And I assume you've seen Game of Thrones- what did you think? I thought it was pretty amazing, not a bad episode.

LOVE that random of the week. So cute... and so true!

    1. I thought it was a great episode! What was funny is that my husband have a kind of running joke where before each episode he'll say "how many people will be killed tonight?" and we both make up some random number. Well, after the big event at the end of Sunday's episode we just looked at each other and laughed and were liked, "yeah, we both guessed way too low." LOL

  16. I added "Wish You Were Here" to my TBR! And that little meme about introverts is hilarious. The doorbell thing cracked me up because it's so me. I also take that a step further when it comes to phone communication. Like, for the love, please don't call me. I'm probably not prepared to talk to anyone! Text me, I beg you. haha :D

    1. LOL Yes! When my home phone rings my first response is "Seriously? WTH people! Do not call me, there's no way I will answer." LOL And the doorbell? Forget it. Like I'm ever prepared to deal with a random stranger wanting something. That would be a hard no.

Wish You Were Here is basically ripping my heart out. I had to quit reading last night because I was getting too emotional. Hoping I can pull it together and finish today.
