Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Want to Read Before 2020

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week's Top Ten Tuesday topic:
10 Books I Want to Read Before 2020

I'm going rogue again this week.

The theme is actually Books I'd Give Different Titles To but
since that one isn't thrilling me I'm doing my own thing. Again.

Instead I'm sharing 10 Books I Want to Read Before 2020. (I could say "before the end of the year", but "10 before 2020" just sounds better, don't you think?)

Because a new release from Colleen Hoover must be read immediately

Because I've put it off for far too long and I think my heart can handle it now.

Because The Guy Not Chosen (from the previous books) definitely deserves a happy ending.

Because it's time I finally read something by Penelope Douglas.

Because Julie Buxbaum.

Because Kristin Hannah.

Because I need a Warner fix.

Because when I want a mystery/thriller I want it to be from Lisa Jewell.

Because I've been dying to read something from Devney Perry.

Because I can't wait to return to the Playbook world.

Have you read any of these books?

  2. I hope to re-read the Shatter Me series soon. I have all the books, now I just have to read them... I think I've read the first two once, but I don't remember much.

    1. I probably need to re-read, too. I read the original three books (back when it was supposedly just a trilogy) but that's been years.

  8. You have Birthday Girl ahead of you! Oh man. You are in for SUCH a treat!

I also wanted to read Blitzed. I love Alexa Martin's books so much. I want to read The Great Alone, too, but it won't be this year.

  11. I definitely plan to read Regretting You before the end of the year since I have an arc of it. What to Say Next and The Great Alone are both books waiting for me on my bookshelf. I hope to read them soon but don't know if it will happen before the end of the year.

    1. I'm so envious that you received an arc of Regretting You! I requested it but never got an approval or denial. I take that as a NO. LOL

  13. The Birthday List was my first Devney Perry book. It was SO good! You're in for a great read there. It made me go back and read some of her other books. She has a fan in me and I bet you will fall in love with her writing.

    1. The intended theme was too tricky for me. I had no desire to put that much brain power into it. LOL

  15. I want to read the Alexa Martin series. I had the first book from the library a few times but with my move - I kept having to return it. I guess I have a series I can binge read now though.

I feel like my TBR pile is down so low now (under 40) that I feel free to read ANYTHING but now I don't know what that would be lol

    1. Martin's Played series has been such an unexpected surprise for me. I picked up Intercepted on a whim, just an audio to pass the time, and ended up loving it. And Fumbled was every bit as good. I hope you get to them soon!

  16. So, you are a rebel? LOL I have read and loved Regretting you and The Son and His Hope as well as Restore me.

    1. Nope, not really a rebel at all. LOL Only when it comes to Top Ten Tuesday topics, apparently. :)

I'm looking forward to The Son & His Hope... but I know that it will hurt my heart.

  17. I am excited about Blitzed. The heroine is a favorite side character of mine. I started The Great Alone on audio and it wasn't working for me, but I really do want to try to read the book, because I have heard a lot of good things about it.

  19. I didn't like this week's prompt either, so I did a book tag instead. But I love that you made your own list - and a great one at that.
I love Penelope Douglas, Kandi Steiner, and Colleen Hoover. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with any of these authors! Happy reading. ♥

  25. The Birthday List is something I'd like to read.

The only Penelope Douglas I've read was Bully and I hated it so it put me off picking her up again but I probably should check out some of her other books at some point... I hope you enjoy Birthday Girl!

  26. What a neat way to do a list Tanya! Blitzed has such a neat cover too. Intriguing twist on the bodies. The Family Upstairs also sounds intriguing when you pitch it as a thriller mystery too. ❤️
