Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's Top Ten Tuesday topic:
Extraordinary/Favorite Book Titles
I'm sure there are some amazing book titles out there. Ones that are hilarious or bizarre or unique. But since I'm basing my picks solely on books that I've read, the truly extraordinary titles will have to be mined by someone else. Here are some of my favorite titles.

I Wish You All the Best - Mason Deaver
The Infinite Moment of Us - Lauren Myracle
Hope and Other Punch Lines - Julie Buxbaum
Simon vs the Home Sapiens Agenda - Becky Albertalli
Autoboyography - Christina Lauren
We Now Return to Regular Life - Martin Wilson
The Reckless Oath We Made - Bryn Greenwood
Furiously Happy - Jenny Lawson
Love Scene, Take Two - Alex Evansley
HONORABLE MENTIONS
Debbie Harry Sings in French - Meagan Brothers
Quiet Girl in a Noisy World - Debbie Tung
Murder of Crows - Anne Bishop
My Booky Wook - Russell Brand
The Things You Kiss Goodbye - Leslie Connor
I can't help but laugh every time I see that cover for Furiously Happy, it kills me how cute and ridiculous it is. I love really specific book titles, for me they're just as effective as having a beautiful cover. They make you want to see what the book is about. Brilliant picks Tanya, off to check a few of these out!
ReplyDeleteI agree, Kelly. I love a distinctive title. And Furiously Happy, along with the cover, definitely gets noticed! :)
DeleteFuriously Happy -- that cover and that title get me every time!
ReplyDeleteMe too! And, it probably goes without saying, it was super funny. :)
DeleteGreat list! Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda is such a fun title. This is the second list I've seen Hope and Other Punchlines on this week and I love that title - I need to check that one out!
ReplyDeleteI loved understanding the title of Hope and Other Punch Lines once I read the book.
DeleteThese are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteI thought Furiously Happy was a wonderful read.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.
It really was... and I love that Lawson narrated the audio version herself.
DeleteThese are all great titles! Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda is definitely a title that caught my eye and I'm so happy I read it! Happy reading! 🙂
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten Tuesday!
Same here, Kait. I definitely noticed the title first and the book quickly became one of my favorites.
DeleteOh! I wish I would have used Autoboyography! I also love My Booky Wook. So crazy.
ReplyDeleteI get squishy just thinking about Autoboyography. So much love for that one!
DeleteI've read Simon, Autoboyography, Love Scene, Take Two and Murder of Crows but I think My Booky Wook kind of takes the cake for titles lol
ReplyDeleteKaren @ For What It's Worth
LOL I can't even remember what made me pick that one up. It's not like I know much about Russell Brand. But I guess that title pulled me right in. LOL
DeleteSQUEEEEEE! You have both Bryn's books on your list!!!
ReplyDeleteYep! She has a way with titles!
DeleteMy Booky Wook definitely sounds interesting. Autoboygraphy and Simon are two that have cool titles!
ReplyDeleteGenesis @ Whispering Chapters
My Booky Wook was a crazy look at Russell Brand’s life. And I have so much love for both Simon and Autoboyography.
DeleteI have only read a couple of these. I read both of Bryn Greenwood's book. I loved one and the other not so much. I also read and enjoyed Murder of Crows. I think most of the other books on your list are hiding somewhere on my wish list.
ReplyDeleteI really loved both of Greenwood’s novels. And The Others series... for someone who is not a fantasy/urban fantasy reader I sure loved it!
DeleteYeah this was hard to narrow down. SOOO many unique/ different titles out there. I like how you did it, going with ones you've read. The Infinite Moment Of Us is a neat title.
ReplyDeleteI love the title The Infinite Moment of Us. And I really enjoyed the book. Sadly, I am the minority but the GoodReads ratings/reviews for it are dismal. :(
DeleteAutoboyography was such a great title, and perfect for that story. I like We Now Return to Regular Life. I am going to check that out. Color me intrigued.
ReplyDeleteI have so much love for Autoboyography. All the good feelings.
DeleteWe Now Return to Regular Life was so good... but it hurt my heart.
My Booky Wook - LOL, that's a hilarious title!
ReplyDeleteIsn’t that one crazy? There’s also a Booky Wook 2. LOL
DeleteSimon made my list this week too. :)
ReplyDeleteThat title is what caught my eye initially. And then I realized the book itself was even better. :)
DeleteHope and Other Punchlines was a wonderful book and I also love the title! Great list, Tanya. :)
ReplyDeleteI really loved that one. Even more emotional than I thought it would be. And it made me want to read *everything* by Julie Buxbaum.
DeleteFuriously Happy is such an interesting title and paired what that cover? LOVE IT.
ReplyDeleteIsn’t that cover something else? LOL That raccoon actually plays a part in the book! :)
DeleteI think this is the first time I've looked at one of your lists and haven't read a single one of the titles! I do want to read Hope and Other Punchlines and Love Scene, Take Two though...
ReplyDeleteLove Scene, Take Two was on the lighter side and really fun. Hope and Other Punch Lines was excellent! Highly recommend that one, Nicci.
DeleteI unfortunately have not read a single one of these yet, but there are several on my TBR list. I really like the titles Autoboyography and Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda.
ReplyDeleteBoth of those titles fit the stories so well. :)
DeleteThe title of the Infinite Moment of Us was by far its best quality. Oof, that was not a fun reading experience.
ReplyDeleteWe Now Return to Regular Life did the trick in making me look it up, though, and now I'm interested in reading it! Same for The Things We Kiss Goodbye.
I know a lot of people had issues with The Infinite Moment of Us but I really liked it. We Now Return to Regular Life was good but heartbreaking.
