The Sunday Post #66

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news - a post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is
coming up on your blog in the week ahead. You can find the info here:

  • With a semi-annual management meeting and a management dinner, this past week was one of my busiest weeks at the office all year. I'm always so relieved to have those July events behind me.
  • It rained almost all night and is supposed to rain off and on all day... and I'm loving it! Perfect excuse to stay indoors and just chill.
  • Not a whole lot of reading done this past week. I've read three YA contemporaries in a row (ARC's that are releasing soon) and I'm getting a little slumpy because of it. As soon as I'm done with these I need to dive into something completely different. I'm drowning in sweet contemporaries and teen angst. LOL

WHAT I READ IN THE LAST WEEK:
Just Friends - Tiffany Pitcock

WHAT I'M CURRENTLY READING
Kissing Max Holden - Katy Upperman

PHYSICAL BOOKS:

Him - Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy
Because having it in Kindle and Audio just isn't enough, apparently.

KINDLE BOOKS:

After We Fall - Melanie Harlow
The Room Mate - Kendall Ryan

How was your week? Any new books? Any news to share?
You know I want to hear about it! :)

    1. Yep, I need to remember not to read so many YA's in a row. I'm definitely on teen angst overload. :)

  4. There are some books that I have on e-book that I REALLY need to get physical copies of, so I understand with Him. Plus, that's just an awesome novel.

    1. Agreed! And sometimes, even if I've read a book on Kindle, I just love it so much I "need" a physical copy to enjoy. :)

  5. Ha! That meme is hilarious. I always mix up my YA with other age levels (let's be real, it's usually an adult romance). It's a strategy that works well for me, and keeps me out of the teen doldrums.

    1. Teen doldrums... yep, had enough of those when I actually was a teen. Definitely don't need 'em now! LOL

  8. LMAO at that picture! Sounds like you had a busy week - hopefully the rain and it's accompanying excuse to stay in is a sign of the week ahead... laid back!

  9. I wish we could get some rain over here. The weather has been mild at least. And by mild, I mean less humid. LOL.

The meme had me cracking up!

    1. We've had rain all week so instead of just hot it's been hot and steamy. LOL

  11. I love that you have all the versions of Him, haha. Have you checked out their spin of series, WAGs, yet? It's amazing!
Ah, the sweet contemporaries and teen angst. I also kind of overindulged in the last month and currently am taking a little break from it, haha. Too much sweet causes cavities! Happy reading (:

    1. I have both the WAGs books on my Kindle but haven't read them yet. What am I doing with my life?! :)

  12. July was also a crazy month for me and I had some serious meetings too! I am so glad that is all over.

Rainy days always make great reading days! :)

I hope you manage to take a break from the contemporaries soon - YA contemp especially is not really my thing but I'm wanting to reach out again and try one or two to try and lighten my reading load. I've been reading some pretty heavy fantasy books of late and just need to have something a bit more light and fluffy. FAST would be good too since I have so much catching up to do!!! Ha ha.

I love your random pic this week! It made me chuckle.

    1. I usually enjoy YA contemporaries but too much of any one thing can get tiresome. And I was so sick of teen angst. LOL I was dying for some grown-up steamy goodness. ;-) Right now I'm reading one by Renee Carlino who is one of my absolute favorites so I'm a happy girl.
